Coach Development Program

To maintain Malawi’s status as a netball powerhouse, NAM is dedicated to advancing the technical expertise of our coaches through a rigorous, tiered certification system.

Advancing Technical Excellence

We are systematically upgrading our national coaching pool from foundational levels to advanced technical leadership:

• Level 3 Success: Recently trained 77 new coaches across Monkey-bay, Lilongwe, and Thyolo.

• Level 2 Advancement: From a massive pool of 700 Level 3 coaches, we have identified and elevated 61 elite coaches to Level 2 across all three regions.

• Curriculum Growth: Our Technical Committee has fully developed the Level 3 and Level 2 coaching syllabi to ensure our training meets modern international standards.

Elite Placement & National Service

To ensure our national teams benefit from this professionalisation, NAM has implemented a strategic placement policy. We have allocated nine of our top-tier qualified coaches to lead our representative squads:

• 3 Coaches: Senior National Team (The Malawi Queens)

• 3 Coaches: Under-21 National Team

• 3 Coaches: Under-19 National Team
