NAM Academy

The Netball Association of Malawi (NAM) is proud to introduce the NAM Academy, a landmark initiative designed to professionalise grassroots netball and create a sustainable pipeline of talent for our national teams.

By bridging the gap between play and professional development, we are ensuring that Malawi remains a global powerhouse in netball.

Our Vision

To beef up grassroots development by strengthening competition and providing a dedicated platform for girls and women to showcase their talent. Our technical teams utilize the academy to identify and groom players who will eventually represent the nation on the international stage.

Learn from the Legends

What sets the NAM Academy apart is our coaching staff. We believe the best way to learn is from those who have conquered the court. Our sessions are led and supported by Netball Legends and Veterans, including:

• Mary Waya

• Peace Kalua

• Judith Chalusa

• Sylvia Mtetemera

• Annie Mopiha & Kelita Hau

Academy Locations & Launch

To ensure accessibility, the academy operates in central locations across the regions. Our primary hubs are:

• Lilongwe: The Gateway Mall

• Blantyre: Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS)

Lessons officially commenced on August 2nd, 2025, marking a new era for the sport in Malawi.

How to Join

We have made registration simple and digital for parents and guardians. You can register players and pay fees via our official merchant codes:

• TNM Mpamba

A Note on Growth: NAM is currently finalizing further sponsorship and funding to expand the academy’s reach. We are committed to transparency and will provide updates as we implement more regional centers and enhanced training facilities.
