Umpire Development Program

a) Over 500 umpires were successfully trained at Level 4 across the country. Building on this achievement, the committee shifted focus to advancing qualified candidates to Level 3. As a result, 23 umpires received Level 3 certification in Lilongwe, and 17 in Mzuzu.
b) Umpires were systematically categorised for officiating duties at both regional and national competitions, ensuring consistent standards across all
levels of play.
c) One umpire, Jane Suzumile, was selected and dispatched to Namibia to officiate at the 2025 Region 5 Games in Namibia and be assessed and for upgrading international level, but performance was not encouraging. Most of the umpires earmarked for this upgrading did not meet the age requirement.
d) Level 3 umpiring courses will be conducted in the  Eastern Region and
Southern Region.
